Mrs. Lena Rogers has been employed with the Fordyce School District for the past 14 years. She was a first grade teacher for 10 years. She has taught Keyboarding for grades Kindergarten through 4th. She has also taught 5th grade Input Technologies and 6th grade Technology Communications. She is beginning her first year as assistant principal at Fordyce Elementary. Mrs. Rogers graduated from Bearden High School. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She received her Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro. Before becoming a teacher, Mrs. Rogers spent 9 years in the military serving her country. She believes that a strong foundation is the key to student success. She also believes that a strong partnership with parents and community members is essential for schools to be successful.
